Gregory North

Born Greg Zerkle behind the Cheddar Curtain in Wisconsin, Greg began pursuing show business in the 5th Grade – writing and directing himself in the groundbreaking play Myron Talks to God. Since then he’s built a national reputation as an artist of versatility and range - equally at home in drama, comedy, contemporary plays, musicals, classics and Shakespeare. He’s worked with lots of talented artists, played some wonderful roles, overheard a few supportive remarks in the lobby and had a real swell time.

He made his Broadway debut in the original Into the Woods with Bernadette Peters. From there he went on to standby for Mandy Patinkin in The Secret Garden. He was Tony Randall's nephew in A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden, John Rubinstein’s friend in the pre-Broadway Kiss of the Spider Woman directed by Hal Prince and starred as Broadway’s final Baron in Grand Hotel opposite Cyd Charisse.

He’s toured in Phantom, Les Miz, Footloose and Show Boat and played over 100 roles in Regional Theatres across the country from The Kennedy Center to The Hollywood Bowl. With a body of work that includes TV, Film, Voice-overs and Commercials, he will soon celebrate his 30th Anniversary as a professional actor.

A proud member of Actors Equity Association – the union for professional actors and stage managers – he also serves on their National Council. Greg holds an MFA from the University of Washington and is happily married to his favorite leading lady, Cynthia Marty.
